2020 Land Rover Defender
The Land Rover Defender is causing a stir in the automotive world, and for a good reason. Brand new for 2020, the Land Rover Defender’s looks seamlessly combine inspiration from the 90 Series with modern design sensibilities that are sure to make it stand out on the road. Much to the surprise of fans of the classic Land Rover Defender, this year’s model is doing away with its predecessor’s body-on-frame construction and solid front and rear axels. Instead, it now has an all-aluminum unibody architecture with ride height-adjustable air suspension. In fact, the new Land Rover Defender can increase its ride height by 5.7 inches to clear particularly challenging obstacles out on the trail.
The Land Rover Defender’s off-road credibility doesn’t end there. While certain Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler SUVs have had trail cams for several model years, the new Land Rover Defender improves on this concept with its new Clearsight Ground View. In addition to a backup camera with a 360-degree view, the driver can now see the ground beneath in order to help them navigate off-road.
With its off-road pedigree, you might expect the interior to be relatively Spartan. However, the interior of the 2020 Land Rover Defender has all of the modern amenities you would expect from an SUV with the Land Rover badge. Inside, drivers will be greeted with a large 10” touchscreen, wireless charging, dual-zone climate controls, high-resolution head-up display, and so much more.
