Why can’t I see my ads when I am searching?
Understandably, many of our dealers have a habit of searching for themselves to see the ads our PPC Specialists have created for their accounts. Very often, however, it’s not there. Dealers continue to search using different keywords, but are still not being served their own ad. This could be due to a number of reasons.
Most commonly, you’re not being served your own ad because you’re not clicking on them. This makes sense, since you don’t want to cost yourself money, but if you’re not clicking through, your ad becomes less relevant for you as a user. The more you search and don’t click, the less you will see your ad in a search engine results page. A number of other factors can also affect whether or not you see your own ad in a search engine results page, including keyword match type and daily campaign budget.
Just because your ad is not showing up for you, does not mean that you’re not showing up for customers you want to target. The best way to measure how well your ad is showing up for customers is to monitor Google Analytics and your AdWords dashboard.
