Our summer internship program came to an end this past Friday, August 5. Our six summer interns held positions in key departments across the company and gained hands-on experience. Our 2016 intern class wrapped up their time at L2T by presenting what they learned throughout their time with the company and reflected on the experience they thought was the most rewarding during their time at L2T.
Breana (Bre) Brill, Social Media Intern
Michigan State University, Class of 2018
“The most rewarding experience for me, both personally and career-wise, was being able to manage my own clients. At first it felt like I was being thrown into the deep end, but now that I’m at the end of my internship, I realize this was the best way for me to learn and develop my skills in social media and reputation management. I’m thankful to have interned at a company that actually valued me, treated me like a regular employee and helped me learn more than I could have ever imagined from an internship!”
Zach Dvorak, SEO & Content Intern
Drake University, Class of 2017
“The most rewarding experience for me was learning that when it comes to the business world, there are companies that make work feel less like a job and more like a hobby. I felt that L2TMedia captured that, and everyone is more productive because of it.”
Delaney Dygus, Digital Advisor Intern
Loyola University Chicago, Class of 2017
“The most rewarding experience for me was being a part of the client/DA interactions during month-end calls. I more fully understand the importance of relationships within a business and how those interactions are used to collaborate on marketing strategies for the clients.”
Danielle Moyer, PPC Intern
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Class of 2017
“The most rewarding experience for me at L2T was when I accomplished tasks that were challenging at first, but are now easy to do. These tasks help me build skills for my future career.”
Kevin Schroeder, Marketing Intern
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Class of 2017
“The most rewarding experience for me was learning more about the different avenues that I can take in the digital marketing industry. I gained experience in all departments, which allowed me to figure out what I like and don’t like. This will be a huge help when I am looking for my first job after college.”
George Sorensen, Accounting Intern
Brigham Young University, Class of 2018
“The most rewarding experience I have had with my internship at L2T is the ability to get involved right away. The finance team let me take the lead on multiple projects that effect day-to-day operations. This allowed me to get some real-world work experience, which is exactly what you look for in a college internship. The knowledge I have gained will allow me to go back to school with a much greater confidence in my abilities.”
We are grateful for all the hard work our summer interns did over the past two months and wish them luck as they head back for another school year!
